Fight MND Big Freeze 12 At Blackwood Hotel
Monday, 08 June
The Blackwood Hotel — in the heart of the Wombat State Forest
This King’s Birthday long weekend, The Blackwood Hotel will be joining communities across Australia in support of FightMND Big Freeze 12, raising funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease through a day built around community, generosity and good old-fashioned pub hospitality.
On Monday 8 June, a number of locals will take part in the Big Freeze Ice Challenge, including members of our Blackwood Hotel team.
Joining them will be fellow community participants from the Trentham Saints, alongside Mayor Councillor Steve Venditti-Taylor, all stepping up to support an incredibly important cause.
FightMND has become one of Australia’s most recognised fundraising campaigns, helping fund vital research and care initiatives for those impacted by MND. We also acknowledge the recent passing of FightMND co-founder and Australian football great Neale Daniher, whose legacy continues to inspire this event and the communities behind it.
To celebrate the King’s Birthday long weekend, our kitchen will also be serving a classic English-inspired special of Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding and Roasted Potatoes, alongside Eton Mess for dessert.
We’d also love the community to get involved by supporting their favourite participant. When donating through our fundraiser page, you’ll have the option to select a team member or challenger to donate towards directly.
