Just a short 10-minute drive from Trentham, our pub offers the perfect place to pause, refuel and unwind while taking in the sights and flavours of the Great Trentham Spudfest. Set among the trees of the Wombat State Forest, it’s a relaxed alternative to the festival crowds — ideal for a long lunch, a drink by the fire, or a stop-in along your journey.

For the weekend, our kitchen is celebrating all things potato with a selection of hearty, seasonal dishes:

Potato Cake

A pub favourite, done properly — thinly sliced potato in a crispy golden batter with a soft, fluffy centre. Simple, nostalgic, and well worth the detour.

Shepherd’s Pie
Rich, slow-cooked mince topped with creamy mashed potato — the ultimate comfort dish for a weekend in the hills.

A refreshing take on a classic, made with locally produced potato vodka, fresh lime and sugar.

With thousands of visitors expected across Spudfest, Blackwood is part of the festival’s expanding Discovery Day, encouraging guests to explore beyond Trentham and experience the wider region.
